NFL Draft 2018 Round 1 in the Books

Well the 2018 NFL Draft started off with a bang with the Cleveland Browns taking Baker Mayfield #1 overall not a great choice to me, but I am not the Browns GM. For Baker’s sake I really hope they figure this out because I really like Baker and hope he has a great NFL career with the Browns. The Giants followed with the pick we all figured they would chose the best overall player in this draft Saquon Barkley which could lead to a Giants bounce back getting OBJ back from injury. The Browns again at #4 got us all to turn our heads Denzel Ward CB wait what did they really just gift wrap Bradley Chubb to the Broncos. So here is the recap of the NFL Draft Round 1

The end of the 2018 NFL draft round 1 was where we finally started seeing some more craziness happen as we finally saw a couple of WR’s come off the board in DJ Moore and Calvin Ridley. Like I mentioned in a previous post where a WR lands in the draft can really help them out and Calvin Ridley had just that happen as he slid to the end of the round going to the Atlanta Falcons at #26 putting him in the best position possible having Matt Ryan throwing him the ball along with Julio Jones who gets double covered more times than not. DJ Moore fell into a similar situation being drafted by the Carolina Panthers at #24 putting Moore in a perfect spot to step in and start day 1 alongside Devin Funchess with Cam Newton throwing him the ball. Of course the Patriots have to try and one up all the good picks by coming back into the first to grab a super stud RB in Sony Michel out of Georgia to add to their weapons.
